About Me and My Pool

new5
Hi, I'm Tiffany Norris and I love to swim!

I was certified to teach swimming in 2004 by the American Red Cross, and base all my lessons on standards from their Learn-to-Swim program levels 1-6. I am thorough in covering new concepts and prefer to teach with a more playful twist, involving a lot of games and props, especially when it comes to teaching little ones who are new to the water. Although I believe children can learn to swim at a variety of ages based on ability, as a general guideline, I recommend that children be around 3 1/2 - 4 years old when beginning formal swim instruction.

All swim lessons will take place in the evenings at the Dutch Ridge neighborhood swimming pool in Littleton, CO. Myself and all participants will be subject to the neighborhood HOA pool regulations there, including that only small groups may join me in the pool or on deck at a given time. Parents of swimmers will be welcome to view their little ones from a close distance--only a few feet away--on grassy areas just off the pool deck.

Group Lesson Information

Group-Lesson-collage
All of my lessons for Summer 2015 will be group-style lessons.

Group lessons last 1/2 hour each for a total of 9 days. Due to my pool's HOA regulations, these groups will remain small--  consisting of 4-5 students.

Upon completion of a session of lessons, students will receive a report card like this one to show what he/she has learned, and my recommendations for future swim progress:

This summer I will be offering three group classes of varying ability levels.  See class options here.

Group lesson price: $75.00 per session (9 days), OR $10.00 per lesson.
*Lesson fees will be due at the conclusion of the first lesson.

Private Lesson Information (NOT OFFERED FOR 2015 SEASON)

Due to a limited schedule, PRIVATE LESSONS WILL NOT BE OFFERED DURING SUMMER 2015.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

Private lessons last 1/2 hour each for as many days as you choose, subject to availability. These times are reserved for those students who, either as individuals or in small groups (i.e. with siblings or friends), would like a more one-on-one focus.

Upon completion of private lessons, students will receive a report card to show what he/she has learned and my recommendations for future swim progress (see "Group Lessons" above).

Due to popularity in past years, I have reserved more opportunities to take private lessons this summer. Please keep in-mind, these times fill-up very quickly!

Private lesson price: $16.00 per lesson.
*Lesson fees will be due at the conclusion of the first lesson.

Lesson Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refunds

My Commitment to You

As your teacher, I pledge to arrive on time, rain or shine, with a happy-to-swim attitude.  Always.

Unfortunately, Colorado weather can get unpredictable--sometimes beyond just rain or shine.

Lesson Cancellation:

During a swim session, it is possible that one lesson may be rescheduled, due to hazardous weather or major emergency only.

If applicable and weather permitting, that one lesson would take place on the scheduled "rain day" following the session, at my convenience.

I promise to always use my best judgment in making the decision to cancel a swim lesson, as a last resort only.

Rescheduling:
Please note, I CAN NOT RESCHDULE a swim lesson for any reason other than hazardous weather or major emergencies.  If a student chooses to miss a lesson for any other reason, he/she is also choosing to forfeit that lesson and all time/funds invested therein permanently.

Refunds:
If it is determined at the conclusion of the first lesson of a session that a student will no longer be able to attend, the student's parent/guardian may request a 60% refund for the remaining eight lessons.  This request must be made prior to the second scheduled class.  After two lessons, refunds will not be issued
